廖小舟，1995 年出生于四川成都，本科毕业于中央戏剧学院舞台设计专业，现就读于读德国杜塞尔多夫艺术学院，师从德国著名当代雕塑艺术家 AlexandraBircken。拥有文工团成长背景的他从来都不将自己的作品定义为典型的当代艺术创作，他总是在自己的充满剧场性的作品中结合日常性与政治性进行文本的重构，热衷于通过多种媒介的结合来表达自己对于当代都市空间的理解以及对于新自由主义的思考。

Xiaozhou Liao was born in 1995 in Chengdu, Sichuan Province,he graduated from the Central Academyof Drama, majoring in Stage Design, and is currently studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Düsseldorf, Germany, under the tutelage of the renowned German contemporary sculptor Alexandra Bircken, who, with a background of growing up in a theatre troupe, has never defined himself as a typical artist, but always combines the everyday and the political with a textual deconstruction of the theatrical. In his theatreinspired works, he combines the everyday and the political in a textual deconstruction, and is keen to express his understanding of contemporary space and neo-liberalism through a variety of media.
